• The oven racks can be cleaned in the oven. However,the oven rackswilldiscolor,

loseshininess, and become difficult to slide in and out if left in the oven dudng the

cleaning process. REMOVE RACKS FROM OVEN IF THIS DISCOLORATION

WILLBE OBJECTIONABLE. As a suggestion, do notleave the racks in the oven

duringeach self-cleaningprocessifthey do notneedto becleanedsincetheywill

discolorto a dull sliver after the first cleaning, Moderatelysoiledrecks can be

cleanedwitha soapyS.O.S. pad orScotch-Bdtescourpad. Stubbornstainsneed

to be removedinthe self-cleaningprocesS. Be sureto readspecialtipson page

44 if oven recksare cleaned duringthe self-cleaningprocess.

*Omitsteps 4 & 5 if you wishcleaningto beginimmediately.

To set oven to start cleaning immediately

1. Close the oven door.

2. TouchClean Pad.

IndicatorWordsCLEAN TIME will flash and Displaywill show"HR : ".

3. Touchthe appropriatenumber pad(s).

The firstnumberpadtouchedwill enter"3:00" inthe Displayfor an average soiled

oven. The cleaningtimecan be varieddependingonthe amountofsoil. Set "2:00"

for lightsoilor "4:00" for heavy soil.

Note: if more than five seconds elapse between touchingthe Clean Pad and

touchinga numberpad, the ovenis n._qtset andtimeof daywillautomatioaUyreturn

to the Display.

Example:If at 9o'clockyouselectedtoself-cleanyourovenfor3 hours,the Display

wiltshow:

Five secondsafter entering"3:00" or a differenttime, the oven doorwill startto

automatically]archand the coolingfan willcome on. The LOCK IndicatorWordwill

come onwhenthe dooris latched.

Note: Ifovendoorwasleftopen,theword"door"willflashintheDisplayandasignal

willcontinuouslybeep untilthe door is closedand the Clean Pad istouched.

The IndicatorWordON comesonwhenthedoorislatchedandwillremainuntilthe

clean temperatureisreached. The Indicator WordON will cycle withthe elements

to maintain the clean temperature.
